The Contactor provides voltage to the outside condenser which houses the fan, reversing valve, and compressor... earlier we connected the reversing valve so our focus now is the outdoor fan and compressor. There are 2 contacts that act as switching legs that pass power to each device. The contactor is controlled 24 volts from the thermostat.
